Mr. Willy Du-3rd grade mandarin teacher
Willy Du was born in the US, enjoyed several years early in San Diego, California, and then in Lawrence, Kansas. Later, his parents moved to Taiwan, where he had a memorable childhood with his family. Spending most of his weekends in a rural movie theater as a young teenager, Willy eventually graduated from high school in Taichung, Taiwan, and got his university degree after 5 years in Taipei. Being a self-described “international nomad” for 5+ years, in 2017 Willy returned to his home country to experience graduate school, doing multiple translations in, and, away from the academic setting. This being his first year of teaching at ICS Atlanta, Willy is happy and excited to be growing and learning again with people he hopes to see more frequently than he did before.
